Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp

    olive oil

  • ½ cup

    onion

    finely chopped

  • 4 cloves

    garlic

  • 1 pound

    ground turkey

  • 1 tsp

    basil

  • 1 tsp

    parsley

  • ½ cup

    bread crumbs

  • ½ cup

    grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 large

    egg

  • 1 tsp

    salt

  • ½ tsp

    finely ground black pepper

Makes: 25 turkey

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 400⁰F.

  2. Saute the chopped onions in the olive oil until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool until safe to touch.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the onion and garlic, turkey, basil, parsley, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper (all of the ingredients), and mix until combined.

  4. On an ungreased cookie sheet, form the mixture into 1-1.5 tsp balls. Should make about 25 balls.

  5. Place into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.

  6. Remove and cool. Remove with a metal spatula, as the cheese will have melted and stuck the meatballs to the sheet.
